Privacy policy

What we collect

• From service providers: name, email, company name, login information, team and client details, and the content of reports they author (property address, repair descriptions, severity, pricing, photos, and customer decisions). Authentication is handled by Firebase.
• From property owners: mobile number (provided to the service provider at the job site) and, if they create a WorkCaddie account, their name and email. We also store information they choose to add, including property addresses, repair history, receipts, warranties, equipment records, reminders, saved reports, and messages.
• Automatically: timestamps when reports are sent and viewed, account identifiers, device push tokens when notifications are enabled, and technical logs used to operate and troubleshoot the service. We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
• For subscriptions: product and transaction identifiers, purchase history, and subscription status. Apple handles App Store payments; we do not receive your payment card number.

How we use it

Personal information is used solely to deliver the WorkCaddie service: storing and sharing job reports, organizing home records, communicating decisions and messages, delivering reminders and notifications, managing subscriptions and team access, and providing support. SMS delivery is used when available and enabled for the report or reminder.

Mobile numbers and SMS

Mobile numbers collected for SMS delivery are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Numbers are transmitted to our SMS provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the report link and to process STOP/HELP responses. See our SMS consent & messaging terms.

AI-generated explanations

Reports can include short explanations that are AI-generated. Your service provider writes every entry on a report — the findings, photos, severity, and any pricing. AI only adds general educational context about what a finding typically means; it does not inspect your home, set prices, or make recommendations. AI-generated text is labeled on the report, and your contractor reviews the report before sending it.

When AI features are enabled, report descriptions and severity may be sent to Anthropic to generate explanations. Photos submitted for AI analysis may also be sent to Anthropic. Avoid including sensitive personal information in repair descriptions or photos.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run WorkCaddie: Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for website hosting, Expo for app updates and push delivery, Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions, Twilio for SMS delivery, and Anthropic for enabled AI features. These providers process the information needed for their respective services.

A report shared by link can be viewed by anyone who has that link. Report content, contractor details, and submitted customer decisions are visible to the people with access to that report. Team members may access shared company information according to their role.

Retention

You can delete your account in the app's Settings. This removes your login and profile, personal property records, saved-report references, clients, templates, and related account records. Company owners must transfer ownership or remove other team members first.

Job reports and their uploaded media are retained separately from your account, including reports shared with homeowners. Removing a saved report or deleting an account does not automatically delete these reports or other people's copies. Contact us to request removal of retained report content or media. Subscription and transaction records may also remain with Apple or RevenueCat under their retention policies. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel it in your Apple account's subscription settings.
